The boundary of the mine field runs 8km from north to south and 6.5km from west to east on average. The total plane area of the mine is about 45.1km2. There is only one exploring layer--number two. Its average thickness of the seam is 2.95m and it’s stable and flatly inclined. Its dip angle is 8 degree on average. The industry reserves of the mine field are 197.4 million tons and the useable reserves are 185.1 million tons. The average inflow rate in Chengjiao mine is 376m3/h. It is a lower gassy mine. The coal dust doesn’t have explosion hazard as well as the self-combustion tendency.The productive capacity of Chengjiao Mine is 2.4 million tons per year,and the service life is 55.09 years. The work system is 4-shift with a 6-hour workday. It produces for 330 days a year.There’re two working levels in the mine. The first development level is located at the -560m, and the second is at the level of -740m. The comprehensive mechanized longwall caving method along the dip is used in Chengjiao Mine.There is only one working face in the mine. It is comprehensive mechanized coal face. The length of the face is 240m, and the designed productive capacity of the face is 2.4 million tons per year. Coal is transported by belt conveyer ,and trolley wagons are used for accessorial transportation in the roadway.the diagonal ventilation system is used in Chengjiao.This design includes ten chapters: 1.An outline of the mine field geology; 2.Boundary and the reserves of mine; 3.The service life and working system of mine; 4.development engineering of coalfield; 5.The layout of panels; 6. The method used in coal mining; 7. Underground transportation of the mine; 8.The lifting of the mine; 9. The ventilation and the safety operation of the mine; 10.The basic economic and technical norms of the designed mine.The topic of special subject parts is The Analysis of backfill mining methods. It makes a fully comprehensive statement of backfill mining methods.Translation part is aboat Steep Coal Seam Mining Methods.The English title is “Research of Steep Coal Seam Mining Methods based on
